Mood Board: Big Sur Green

The Cass Clutch in Big Sur Green conjures up images of the Northern California coast.  Its cypress and bay laurel trees weathering crisp ocean breezes were the inspiration for the beautiful shade of green.  Whether you're working poolside, toes deep in sand or out and about in a quaint little town, the Cass Clutch is destined to be your "go to" handbag.

Noir Inspirations

Lately I've been drawn to a sophisticated and slightly edgy color:  black.  Here are a few of my favorite noir statement items.

1.   A must have accessory:  the necklace.

2.  Contrasting styles;  the little black dress paired with a badass motorcycle  jacket. 

3.  A  70's Inspired leather sofa

4.  The all season classic:  the Clog.

Color Inspiration: 7 Softly Hued Rooms

Although softly hued, these rooms do not lack POP.  By combining unique furnishings, oversized art, texture and paint color patterns, a room can attain the same effect that bold colors are known for, but in a much quieter way.  Take a look:

Dark Mood X 7

There's an elegance and sophistication associated with the color black.  We recognize its dramatic effects on fashion, interiors and exteriors alike, home accessories and even in gift wrapping.  Black lends a dramatic, classic look to almost anything.  Art, knick-knacks, books and botanicals stand out against its rich depth, giving any space a contrasting, edgy feel.  Even simple recipes can appear more interesting when served on a dark plate.  I think I need to find an area in our house where black would feel at home.

Color Preference: 9 Vibrant Interiors

When it comes to color, my preferences are most often earthy tones.  I like them best layered with patterns and mixed textures, but as of late I also find nature inspired colors very appealing.  When combined with  leather, metal and modern furnishings the statement that these hues provide is right up my stylist alley.  Here are a few examples of my type of colorful interiors where the application and hue are perfectly suited for each other.  From furnishings, floor to ceiling walls, to trims and ceilings, the refined use of color can make a big impact on your space.  Take a look:
